Religion
Our early childhood program focuses on how God loves us and gave us His son, Jesus, to show us His love. Students learn about prayers, Mass, and the church community, become more familiar with the Bible, and read the Bible stories every day.
Gross Motor
The program is designed to promote good overall fitness and physical motion. The activities are designed to improve coordination and be aware of different body movements.
Language Arts
Our Early Childhood (EC) language arts program is literature-based, it focuses on developing phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, and critical thinking. The students are introduced to compare and contrast, story elements, predicting outcomes, and sequencing. Tracing and writing letters and simple words or sentences to foster writing awareness and motor skills. Phonics teaches the sounds of letters and how to use these sounds to read the words and the latter with the spelling of words.
Math
Students become problem solvers and thinkers. The program includes EC-leveled addition, subtraction, time, money, estimation, and measurement.
Science
This program lays the groundwork for the multilayered study of Science. The class learns about plants and animals and the environment in which they live. The Earth and everything connected: natural resources, seasons, the atmosphere, and beyond are also covered.
Social Studies
Students are learning about our community, community helpers, making choices, and respect for one another and everything around us. They are introduced to different cultures, traditions and famous people and holidays. Students will build strong relationships with each other, their teachers, and the church.
Technology
Students become familiar with computers, computer parts, and basic computer knowledge. EC grades will utilize technology with educational software that reinforces our Language Arts, Math, and Reading programs.
