Mission
It is the mission of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, an integral part of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, to educate the whole child in the Catholic tradition – spiritually, intellectually, culturally, and physically – in Christ’s name.
Vision
Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, in partnership with our families and school community, is committed to offering academic excellence grounded in the values of the Catholic faith. We believe all students are unique and capable of learning and developing to their fullest potential. In a nurturing, Christ-centered environment, we seek to educate the whole child in mind, heart, and spirit.
Goals
In the area of Catholic identity, the parish of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church will serve to strengthen our visibility in the local and parish community, and continue to embed Catholic identity in the school and classrooms.
In addition, enhancing marketing initiatives, increasing enrollment, expanding technology, and utilizing the Fatima Giving Fund to its fullest potential(s) are yearly goals set forth by administration.
School Board
A ten member School Board has been established for the purpose of assisting the pastor and principal in identifying and articulating the educational needs and aspirations of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School. The Board meets on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in an open meeting format. Board minutes are available for review by request.
Parent and Teacher League (PTL)
The Our Lady of Fatima PTL consists of parents/guardians, and staff members of the school. Its purpose is to bring a closer relationship between the home and the school by keeping parents informed of all activities within the school and to promote the welfare of the children in the home, school, community, and place of worship. Volunteers, fundraising, and school community events are set up through this organization. Information for various events will be given throughout the year.
Virtus Training and Parent Volunteers
In accordance with USCCB and Archdiocesan policies, all adults working with children must complete a criminal background check and be current with VIRTUS training.
Visit www.virtus.org to register for training or for more information on the program.
